Scotland – Highland beauty round every corner

Sometimes the best things about road trips are the unexpected sights lurking around the next corner.
Like when you’re zipping along the A9 between Stirling and Inverness.
And you come upon this…

The laws of the road may not entirely dictate it, but the laws of travelling definitely do: time to pull into the nearest lay-by and walk the narrow path back to the bridge that gave you the view.
The Scottish highlights are spectacular at the best of times, and this was one of my favourite views.
I think the viaduct is the Highland Main Line viaduct over the River Findhorn at Tomatin.
But frankly we were too busy taking in the view to make too many notes of exactly where we were.
So I suggest you do what we did, stop a second and enjoy the view…
