Deddington – Tea and scones in the Oxfordshire countryside

If sandwiches cut into little rectangles and scones covered in cream is your thing then you might want to give Afternoon Tea at the Deddington Arms a try.
The usual cutesy sardines come with tea or coffee, fruit cake, a very naughty chocolate cake and a glass of champagne.
And visitors will get the extra bonus of dining in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside.
Deddington itself is a beautiful little village, with the church of St Peter and St Paul taking pride of place.
The Afternoon Tea itself is on the expensive side at £22 a head, although Michelle and I managed to get a much cheaper deal thanks to Amazon.
Afternoon Tea seems to be becoming an increasingly popular lunch options, with everywhere from pubs to cafes to visitor centres at beauty spots offering the option.
You won’t go too far wrong with what you find at the Deddington Arms – just don’t pay full price.
