Blog – Slovenia: Urban or rural?
And so our four day Slovenian adventure is coming to an end.
I’m typing this in Ljubljana Airport with our bird back to Blighty imminent.
Our final day here has been largely spent at Lake Bled, Slovenia’s fairytale destination complete with a castle on a cliff.
But before we caught the bus to Bled (only an hour and a half trip from the centre of Ljubljana at a cost of $25 return for us both), a quick visit to the city’s art district was in order.
Metelkova Mesto is a former army barracks and now independent social centre, complete with sprawling graffiti and – apparently (we didn’t go at that sort of time) – a thriving night life.
So today’s question is simple: What do you prefer, the natural beauty of Bled or Metelkova’s hipster vibe?
